1905 kit a winner with Bradford Bulls fans

Bradford Telegraph and Argus: The 1905 replica shirt will be on sale tomorrow at The Provident Stadium The 1905 replica shirt will be on sale tomorrow at The Provident Stadium

The Bulls will today launch their all-new Heritage Range, designed to recapture some of the club's most iconic playing jerseys.

Bulls supporters were given five days to name their favourite from a quartet of early Bradford shirts.

More than 500 votes were cast prior to the close of voting on Wednesday and Option D – a strip first worn in 1905, up until the club’s re-birth as Bradford Northern – came out on top.

The all red, amber and black long-sleeved jersey features a white collar and felt cuffs, with the club’s BELONG Since 1863 patch also appearing.

The shirt was a narrow winner ahead of Option B, an 1888 kit made up of red, amber and black pinstripes.

Voting for the reproduction of a second vintage shirt is likely to open in the new year.

You can snap up a retro replica shirt, priced at £44.99, from tomorrow at the conferencing and banqueting suite at The Provident Stadium.

You know you're on the rocks when the old kit is drafted in to make some money. A great club run into the ground. Shame really.

You know you're talking rubbish when you open your mouth, shame really. The Bulls aren't the first club and wont be the last club to try sell replica merchandise. If you want one buy one otherwise don't bother. I don't think it looks that good. Would have thought they could have put the original Bradford FC badge on it aswell as the belong logo. Think I'll get the Home shirt instead.

Cant blame the bulls for trying to raise additional income, the shirt is very nice, so much so my son and i bought one whilst collecting our season tickets. This club is in my blood, i have followed them for over 50 years and anything i can do ( no matter how small) to see them through this present crisis i will do

So, if the Bulls do nothing theyre poor businessmen with no idea about marketing or how to run a club. BUT, if they try to tap new revenues they're flogging a dead horse!? Is that about the gist of it?
"Bulls management in try-to-save-business shocker"
As an aside, Nrl teams frequently market retro jerseys. As do premier league football teams, the nfl, the nba and nhl. YOURE right though. It's probably a bad idea.

Pretty bad when they have to comment on shirts to justify their SAD, SAD, SAD existences.

The Ausies have a heritage weekend where all clubs play in their old shirts and it goes down very well with the supporters. Ex-players are present which is also nice to see. I didn’t see some of their supporters making brainless comments about it – but this is the T and A site! Maybe we should try it as long as all other clubs have a heritage shirt they can use. Do it on a weekend of derbies.

I wish this shirt was cotton and had some kind of club badge on it. It looks quite cheap in the flesh, I won't be investing.

That's a shame it looked like a good idea, I was thinking it'd be like a cotton trader type of shirt

why doesnt it have a bulls badge on it? as its just a t shirt really then and for £44.99 not worth it. I voted for another option. I dont like this one at all. Everyone has different tastes. I think they should have brought out a range of diff heritage shirts so people have more choice, make a small amount of each and then supply on demand and make more of populr ones.
