Bulls rookie Adam O’Brien is keeping his fingers crossed that the club can negotiate a way through their latest financial crisis.

It was announced on Friday that a number of job losses had been made but none of Francis Cummins’ players have yet departed.

The Bulls revealed earlier this month that savings of £400,000 must be made to stave off the threat of administration.

Homegrown hooker O’Brien said: “I’ve been here for four or five years now and have been through the ups and downs such as the administration last year and what we’ve been through in the last couple of months.

“But when you’re at training with the lads, you’re in the team environment and you’re training and doing your weights.

“You just get on with it, but when you’re away from training and at home you think about the situation more.

“At the end of the day it’s a job and it could happen to anyone. We’ve just got to crack on with things and fingers crossed everything works out.”

O’Brien signed a long-term deal last year and is gearing up for a big season as he bids to become a first-team regular.

He added: “While I know I’ve got that security behind me, anyone could turn round and sack you.

“I’ve just got to keep training hard and hope everything works out well.”
