Farsley will be looking to hold onto third spot in Evo-Stik Division One North on Saturday when they journey over the Pennines to take on Radcliffe Borough.

The Lancashire outfit are third from bottom, just above the relegation places by two points.

Farsley are one point off second place and six off the summit but they must keep winning as the three clubs immediately below them are within touching distance.

Manager Neil Parsley said: “We had a very good win at home to Clitheroe and, looking at the results of the other clubs in and around us, it was a very important win.

“It was really pleasing to have a free midweek since then because we have a few players carrying knocks. Lee Ellington is still feeling a calf strain that has been giving him problems.

“Lee was on the bench last week and he told us that he was ready to come on if we needed him. But we didn’t risk him, and hopefully the extra rest will have done him good.

“We have a great physio in Martin Liversedge here at the club and he works his magic but on occasion time is the only cure.”
