The Bulls have launched their Heritage Range, a season-long scheme where some of the club’s most notable playing strips will be reproduced based on public opinion.

Supporters have been selecting their favourite former design via an online poll, which has attracted more than 400 votes.

The Bulls kick off their Heritage Range back where it all began, in the late 1800s and early 1900s, as they prepare to celebrate 150 years of rugby league in Bradford.

Bulls fans had four jerseys to select from and the most popular will be revealed on Sunday on season-ticket card collection day, when the entire first-team squad will be on hand.

Option A, an all white design, was worn for a number of years during the 1880s, before the first introduction of a coloured Bradford strip in 1888 (Option B).

Option C arrived in 1903, after five years of the previous strip, and the fourth jersey, Option D, came just prior to the birth of Bradford Northern.

The chosen Heritage shirt will carry the BELONG 1863 patch, in keeping with the brand-new 2014 home shirt.

Bulls chief executive Robbie Hunter-Paul said: “We believe this will prove a big hit with fans, both old and young.

“As part of our 2014 BELONG campaign, we are working to encapsulate the heritage of Bradford Bulls and this new range is designed to coincide with that. We start here with some of the club’s first-ever playing shirts and there are plenty more to come.

“Though these came before Bradford Northern, the 1800s are by no means forgotten years. These jerseys represent our very foundations and that is why we wanted to kick-start our range by offering fans a chance to get their hands on one.”

The process will take place during the course of next season, with voting opening at intervals throughout the year for the reproduction of a legendary playing strip.

* Omar Khan left the Bulls almost three months ago but the club’s 2014 replica kit and sportswear carries his name.

The Omar Khans logo – the branding of his restaurants in Bradford and Skipton – was put on the kit when it was designed earlier this year.

Khan was still in situ then but left the club suddenly in September.

The Bulls say all kit sold in their club shop carrying the Omar Khans logo is being patched over with the word BELONG – the name of their in-house campaign.

All kit worn by the Francis Cummins’ players will also be patched over with the BELONG logo in time for the new season.
