AUCTIONEERS will be holding a free valuation day in North Yorkshire later this month, for collectables such as coins, clocks and military items.

Lockdales is inviting people to bring in coins, stamps, banknotes, clocks, watches, silver, gold, documents, books, medals and militaria to be valued in Thirsk on Thursday, November 14.

The auction house will also be valuing cigarette cards, postcards, pre-1960s sports programmes and scientific instruments.

If they wish, people can consign their goods to be sold in a future public auction, or request a cash purchase offer from Lockdales themselves. Valuations will be offered free, without obligation to sell.

The event will be held at The Golden Fleece Hotel, on Thirsk Market Place between 10am and 2pm on Thursday, November 14.
