Bradford Bulls' Jamie Foster in high spirits for 2014
Jamie Foster believes the spirit within the Bradford Bulls squad bodes well for their hopes of success in 2014.
Francis Cummins’ men were on fire in the opening weeks of the 2013 campaign but gradually fell away to finish ninth in the Super League table.
That condemned the club to a fifth successive year outside of the play-offs but Foster is confident his side can emerge as a stronger force next term.
With five new signings already announced – and another in the pipeline – Foster said: “We’ve made some great signings and I’m sure they can fit in to the culture of the group we have here at Bradford.
“I had a half a season on loan at Hull FC in 2012 and spent all my career before that at St Helens.
“But, hands down, Bradford is the best place to be for team spirit and camaraderie.
“Everyone gets on so well, no matter how the results are going - from the young boys to the senior lads at the top.
“We have a good laugh at the right times and it’s a great place to be when it’s like that. I love being at this club.”
Foster endured an injury-disrupted debut campaign at the Provident Stadium but said: “I’m just grateful that I’ve got another two years here and have bonded well with the coach, so I’m looking forward to pre-season now.”
