Kian King looks to add to Shelf’s goal tally during their 10-2 under-12s win at East Bowling All Stars in the Huddersfield League
Louis Fialdini added a double and the tally was completed by Louis Anderson, Denon Sokee, Kian Flesher, Charlie Menzies, Harvey Weston-Beyer and the impressive Louis Turner.
It could have been an even more emphatic victory but the Dynamos played a more passing game in the second half, with man of the match Flesher showing some great touches and distribution.
Baildon Trinity Dynamos Sky under-eights were also among the goals as their best-ever performance earned an 11-1 win at Burley – including a double hat-trick for Alfie Turner.
Ben Cockcroft nicked the man of the match prize, capped by two goals, while Hamish McCallum also netted at the double. An own goal made up the total.
Harvey Menzies was also outstanding along with Lyndon Bateson and goalkeeper Connor Holmes, who made some great saves.
The Dynamos Blue under-eights continued the club’s scoring trend with a 4-2 success against Burley.
There were two goals from Rory Holmes and one each from Parth Sunhil and Raphael Vanmarcke.
Archie Smith, George Robinson and Mason Hudson were solid in midfield and man of the match Nell Hepton impressed with a great all-round performance.
Outfield players deputised but could not prevent defeat as Rangers lost 6-1 in a niggly game littered with free-kicks, Harry Norton scoring the consolation goal from a close-range set-piece.
Rangers under-nines continued their development as a team with an empathic 13-3 victory over neighbours Campion.
Callum Thornton led the way with a hat-trick, backed up by goals from Joel Beaumont (2), Dominic Parish (2), George Edge (2), Josh McGinty, James Hemsworth, Jack Tostevin and Jodi Tiffany.
BPA Raptors under-11s visited Farsley Colts for the first time and emerged 3-1 winners after a keenly-contested Craven League game.
The Raptors made an early breakthrough with a James Hebb goal, which was followed by a cheeky lob from Vincent Henderson.
Raptors keeper Spencer Mitchell made some good saves to ensure it remained 2-0 at the interval, with Louis Price strong in midfield as Rhys Sanasy and Oliver Welsh mopped up at the back.
An end-to-end game saw Farsley net a deserved reply six minutes from the end but there was still time for Hebb to grab his second before the end.
BPA’s under-15s were missing their regular keeper as well as a number of other players and it showed as they lost 10-1 to Albion Sports.
The consolation goal came from man of the match Billy Enoch, while there were also promising performances from Lewis Haynes and Ewan Pyrah.
BPA Lizards under-12s eased into the third round of the FA County Shield with a 5-1 win at Rothwell Town Reds.
An own goal following Lewis Moorhouse’s corner gave BPA an early lead and Naill Armstrong thundered home a second goal ten minutes later.
Rothwell replied when a deflected header beat keeper Thomas Indriks but Lewis Melvin restored the two-goal lead less than a minute later after battling past three defenders.
The second half saw the players having to contend with increasingly heavy rain as well as a local resident who refused to give the ball back.
But the Lizards overcame this to see a Matthew Ham volley cleared off the line, before Dominic Corps converted a penalty awarded for handball.
The goal of the game came two minutes from time as Stefan Giangregorio sent Armstrong away down the right, he crossed to Melvin who in turn set up Corps to slot home from close range.
Roberto McFarlane’s first-half hat-trick was the highlight as Bradford Warriors under-11s produced another good Huddersfield League performance to win 4-1 at Dewsbury Rangers B.
A bright start saw McFarlane give the Warriors a deserved lead after just five minutes, before a key moment in the game saw Benjamin Phillip save a penalty to preserve the advantage.
The Warriors continued to put pressure on the Dewsbury defence and McFarlane added two more goals before the interval to make it 3-0.
The second half proved mainly a midfield battle but although Dewsbury pulled one goal back, Jordan Styslo sealed the victory five minutes from time.
A good team performance featured some solid defence by the Warriors, with Alex Taylor-McKeown claiming the man of the match trophy for some great tackling and passing.
Owen Pickersgill netted two penalties for East Bowling Allstars under-12s but they proved merely consolations as Shelf won 10-2.
Despite the heavy defeat there were some good performances from Allstars players, notably newcomer Kemmi Gill in midfield and Shaun Goldsborough at the back.
Thackley Dragons under-15s were not playing at their fluent best but did enough to go top of the Harrogate League table.
They beat visiting Nidd United 2-1 with goals from Daniel Isaacs and Connor Raistrick, while captain Jack I’Anson was named man of the match.
