Bradford Bulls signing Garreth Carvell has broken rib
Warrington Wolves' Bulls-bound forward Garreth Carvell broke a rib during 30-16 Saturday’s Grand-Final defeat by Wigan but only discovered the injury after going for X-rays this week.
The 32-year-old former England prop, who was playing his final game for the club after agreeing a move to Odsal for 2014, defied the painful injury to finish the match, rekindling memories of team-mate Paul Wood, who played on in last year’s Grand Final against Leeds and only found out he had suffered a ruptured testicle hours after the final whistle.
“Thought it was a bit uncomfortable,” Carvell tweeted.
