BRADFORD CITY 2 SHREWSBURY 1
James Hanson struck in the third minute of stoppage time to earn City a dramatic win over Shrewsbury at Valley Parade.
The big striker fired low into the corner to send the ground into raptures – and left the visitors on the floor.
City had trailed at the break – and also lost Nahki Wells to a worrying ankle injury.
But Kyel Reid levelled with his first goal at home for a year before Hanson sealed the thrilling fightback.
City were caught cold inside 90 seconds as Shrewsbury struck from the game’s first attack.
Ryan Wood crossed to the far post where Adam Reach nodded back across and Tom Bradshaw buried the header from close range.
City’s woes increased when Wells was caught on the left ankle by Dave Winfield and was unable to continue.
Reid looked the biggest threat and he gave the home fans some hope just before the break with a ferocious drive which Chris Weale tipped over the bar.
Bradshaw was close to a Shrewsbury second as he hit the side-netting before City levelled on the hour.
Mark Yeates, on for Wells, crossed low and Hanson left it for Reid to drill home with his weaker right foot.
Hanson went close as City, inspired by the excellent Reid, pushed for a winner. But there was a scare at the other end when Bradshaw lobbed over after going clear.
Winfield was sent off in the closing stages but Weale saved superbly from Yeates’s resulting free-kick.
Shrewsbury were hanging on but the pressure told deep in added time when Hanson swept home his fourth goal of the season.
And that's it.... City have won!
Ball bobbles around box and HANSON lashes low into the net. City 2-1 up with virtually nothing left to play!!
Yeates whips in cross but Hanson cannot get enough on his header.
Oliver replaced by Connell as four minutes added time begins.
Mkandawire on for Bradshaw as Yeates free-kick superbly saved by Weale.
Winfield's got a few cards to mark his Shrewsbury debut... two yellows and a red!

Yeates wriggles for some room before attempting cheeky shot across goal.
Atmosphere has cranked up a dozen notches now...
That's got to hurt. Free-kick fired straight into the "nether regions" of Darren Jones...

Winfield drags down Hanson on edge of box and crowd bays for his blood...
That's only the winger's second goal in two years at Valley Parade...
1-1! Yeates low cross, Hanson steps over it and REID scores with his right foot ....
Shrewsbury a whisker away from second goal as Bradshaw diverts Woods' cross into the side-netting.
At least that's got the crowd going again.
Reid drills in low cross which Jones clears from inside Shrews six-yard box. Now winger bumped over by Woods but shout for penalty rejected.
Crowd is 14,128 with 286 from Shrewsbury.
Darren Jones lets fly with long-range free-kick that rattles advertising board to left of City goal.

Yeates finds Hanson with low ball into the box but big man's lay off to Jones is far too heavy.

Corner blocked back to Yeates whose second attempt is well blocked by Summerfield. Shrewsbury have everyone back.
Ref not happy with a spot of wrestling before it is taken.
One last chance in the half for City with another corner.
Deep cross from Meredith is nodded well wide by Thompson.
Four minutes of added time. Otherwise known as Nahki time...
Good cross from Reid but Winfield gets there ahead of Hanson. Reid has second bite at it but this time clears everyone.
Jacobson's free-kick is accurate but easy meat for McLaughlin.
Another free-kick for Shrewsbury in dangerous position, 25 yards out.
Great block from Winfield to smother Yeates shot.
Davies nods down to Reid, shouts for handball as shot blocked. Yeates crosses back into box but everyone misses it. Fraction too high for target Hanson.
City corner number four as half-time approaches.
Best moment of the game for City by a mile that.
But here goes Reid again accompanied by three blue shirts. Still bursts through before letting rip with fierce drive that Weale tips over the bar!
Very frustrating first half for City. Not like the usual home games.
Main now the pantomime villain but he ignores the boos from crowd to unleash good effort that sails just wide.
McLaughlin shoved over the line by Main who is booked for his Nat Lofthouse impression.
Quickly-taken corner dealt with but City beginning to ask a few questions of visiting defence.
Reid on the run again and cross blocked for City corner. Midland Road being sung nice and loud
Matt Taylor has just scored for Colchester ...
Push on Hanson ends that particular threat.
Crowd trying to do their bit to rally City as Shrewsbury win another corner.
Low corner from Yeates scoots right through to Hanson but he cannot find room to turn and shoot.

Bradshaw briefly gets away from Davies in the City box but defence clear their lines.

Dave Winfield making his debut for Shrewsbury following summer switch from Wycombe. Centre half injured his hamstring in the week before the opening game against MK Dons.
Shrewsbury are without the suspended Jon Taylor after his red card against Wolves last week.
His absence means a reshuffle with Ryan Woods expected to move forward to right midfield from right back. Connor Goldson will switch to full back and Dave Winfield returns at centre half.
Skipper Tamika Mkandawire is back on the bench after three weeks out with a hamstring injury.

Rory McArdle fell ill overnight so Phil Parkinson is forced into a change at the back.
Luke Oliver returns in his place to make only his second appearance since his lengthy injury lay-off.
Carl McHugh is added to the bench. He only returned to full training on Thursday after a hip problem that has been bothering him since the opening pre-season friendly at Guiseley.
Obviously there's no place for new arrival Caleb Folan until his international clearance goes through.
