Pete Wilson won Sunday’s members’ match at Raskelf with 43lb of F1’s on worm. Chris Jones caught 41lb 6oz of F1’s and ide on feeder to finish second on the day with John Walsh catching 34lb 7oz for third. Some sections of the River Calder will be closed this Sunday for the penultimate round of this year’s Calder League, along with Roecliffe for an outside booking. Tickets are still available for the Calder Championships on Sunday, September 22, which has a first prize of £500, from Simon on 01274-571175. Chellow Dene is fishing well for skimmers and roach on feeder or waggler. The River Swale at Maunby and Thornton Bridge are worth a visit for chub and barbel.
