Henry Paul sets his sights high with Bradford & Bingley
Henry Paul is targeting a top-four finish this season as Bradford & Bingley prepare to open their National League Three North campaign with a trip to Burnage.
The director of rugby, who took charge at Wagon Lane earlier this year, is likely to stick with the side which finished last week’s Yorkshire Cup win at Pocklington.
James Morton (bruised ribs) and Martyn Mitchell (shoulder) were forced off last weekend and are set for lengthy spells on the sidelines.
But Paul said: “I have ambitions to reach the top four this season. Replacing Fordy (Guy Ford) won’t be easy because he scored 25 tries last season but we’re aiming high.”
On this weekend’s opponents, Paul added: “Burnage have got a decent fly-half who guides them around the park but we’ll be ready for them.”
