Bees call on Bradford City to join the fun
Henry Paul has hailed the inaugural cricket match between Bradford & Bingley and the Bulls as a success and said he hopes that Bradford City will enter a team next year.
The inaugural event saw players from the Bees and the Bulls compete in a power hour of play at Wagon Lane.
The Bulls narrowly won the match, which was organised by the Bees’ director of rugby Henry Paul and his brother Robbie Hunter-Paul, now deputy director at the Bulls.
Henry said: “We tried to make it a family event including rugby coaching for children prior to the game and a barbecue to follow the hour of cricket.
“We’re aiming to make this an annual event and it would be great to encourage a team to enter from Bradford City. For now the trophy remains with the Bulls, but we’ll be back next year.”
