Robbie Hunter-Paul reveals season-ticket launch
Bulls deputy director Robbie Hunter-Paul today launched an initiative that will see the first 1,000 supporters who buy 2014 season-tickets handed the opportunity to be on a huge team photo that will take pride of place on a billboard overlooking Odsal next season.
Supporters will also be offered a voucher to buy a 2013 replica shirt in the club shop as part of the ‘BELONG 1000 CHALLENGE’ – but must buy their season-tickets before 3pm on Saturday.
Hunter-Paul said: “It brings me great pleasure to announce the ‘BELONG’ campaign and to watch it get off the ground.
“The title ‘BELONG’ did not appear from just out of thin air.
“It was actually an amalgamation of findings from research delivered to targeted stake holders from the club as well as feedback from the ‘Have your say the Bulls way’ survey.
“I learnt through industry experience and education that when developing a campaign understanding how your supporters feel about the club and what it means to them should be the cornerstone of what you stand for.
“Time and time again the word ‘BELONG’ turned up in many forms; from supporters saying ‘I am from Bradford and this is where I belong’ to ‘we are excited and want to help drive the club back to where we belong’.
“There were many more examples of this that could be shared and happily it gave our team enough confidence to move forward.
“So as you can understand ‘BELONG’ and belonging as an identity has a strong resonance with whom we all are as a club and a spirit that surrounds it.
“If you look closely at the artwork for the ‘BELONG’ campaign you’ll see that it encapsulates the heritage of the Bradford Bulls showcasing players from yesteryear like Whitcombe, Ward and Trevor Foster through to modern players like Mumby, Vainikolo and yours truly as well as focussing on our current stars like Foster, Kear, Gale and many more.
“The approach was to celebrate our proud RL history whilst looking forward to our continued growth and the most extraordinary Super League season ever.
“My hope is that ‘BELONG’ will take on an energy of its own where our supporters will be able to share stories with us about why they ‘BELONG’ to the Bulls and we’ll be able to share them on the club website and through our social media platforms.
“We are looking to run a series of ‘BELONG DAYS’ where we will actively go into the community to give back, proving how the Bulls are part of the fabric that makes up Bradford’s cultural and spiritual identity and not just its sporting.
“First up, though, we have set the ‘BELONG 1000 CHALLENGE’ and this is where we want to smash previous records of season tickets sales made in the very FIRST week.
“Last year, we had a few hundred in the opening week but this year I am confident we can drive many more over that first week finishing line.
“To support the ‘BELONG 1000 CHALLENGE’ the board are offering the first 1000 supporters that purchase their season tickets before 3pm on Saturday the 7th of September a money can’t buy opportunity to be a part of a monumental first team photo that will be placed on one of our central internal facing Billboards to look over the stadium come the start of the 2014 season.
“Also, that same first 1000 supporters will be given a voucher that they be able to swap in the stadium super store for a 2013 replica shirt either home or away (your choice). I think it will be a perfect gift for a loved one or even keep for yourself.
“As you can imagine this is a big week for the Bulls with our final game of the season coming up, the launch of the ‘BELONG’ campaign, the Player of the Year awards and the drive for the ‘BELONG 1000 CHALLENGE’ as they say there’s no rest for the wicked."
