In-form Oliver McBurnie given three-year deal at Bradford City
City have rewarded Oliver McBurnie's sensational run of form with a first professional contract - for three years.
The 17-year-old striker, a second-year apprentice at the club, has been given a deal until the summer of 2016.
It caps an incredible recent spell for the highly thought-of teenager, who was this week promoted to train with the senior squad.
McBurnie guested for Manchester United in the prestigious Milk Cup in Northern Ireland during the summer and finished as the tournament's Golden Boot with five goals in five games, including the winner in the final.
He then scored in the youth team's opening game against Grimsby and followed up with a 'perfect' hat-trick in a win over Hull, netting with his left foot, right foot and a header.
City head of youth Peter Horne said: "First and foremost we are delighted for Oliver he has earned his first pro deal.
"I think this offer shows that the gaffer does take a keen interest in the youth players who are here at the club and is ready to give them a chance if they earn it."
McBurnie will still play for the youth team while training with the senior players.
