All-rounder Richard Winn helped Division One leaders Morley move a step closer to their first Bradford League second teams title with a 120-run win over Bowling Old Lane.

Winn (48) and Spenser Horsfall (30) helper Morley make 199-9 despite the efforts of Adam Shabbir (4-28), and then Winn (5-15) and Paul Kinder (3-12) rolled Old Lane over for 79.

Second-placed Lightcliffe continued their good run with a 51-run win over Yeadon. Rhys Jowett (82) and Evan Edwards (38no) steered Lightcliffe to 221-7 before Yeadon were bowled out for 170, with Darren Smith making 65. The pick of the Idle bowlers was Marcus Kelly with 4-23.

At the other end of the table Bradford & Bingley won the basement battle with Hartshead Moor by one wicket to climb off the bottom.

Waj Ali’s unbeaten 36 proved decisive as Bradford & Bingley edged past Hartshead Moor’s 127 all out. Myles Brooke took 3-29 for Hartshead Moor, who are now bottom.

In the Hartshead Moor innings, Martin Ellis made 35 while Steve Dunn was the best of the home bowlers with 4-15.

Farsley’s Adam Walker was the day’s unluckiest cricketer. He took a stunning 8-35 against Baildon and ended up on the losing side.

Thanks to Walker, Baildon were bowled out for 165, a score which owed much to the efforts of Muhammad Rehan (70) and Chris Reynolds (50).

Farsley’s batting faltered as they were dismissed for 116, with Mahmood Rashid taking 4-30 and Daniel Metcalfe (4-35). Barry Tempest (32) was the only batsman to offer resistance.

Shahid Alishan hit an unbeaten 73 as East Bierley defeated Woodlands by three wickets.

Elliott Richardson took 3-24 for Woodlands, who had earlier been dismissed for 167, with Jack Carter (40) and Nicky Ward (32) being their top scorers.

The wickets were shared by John Glover (4-44), Matthew Anderson (3-33) and Dan Abbott (3-41).

Keighley’s Ashley Robinson took 6-50 and Jason Perry 3-46 to seal a 46-run win over Hanging Heaton, who were bowled out for 184. Nafeez Hafeez top scored with 45.

Keighley had made 230-6 with Paul Wilkinson (51) and Richard Wood (41) leading the way as Umar Rehman took 3-62.

Pudsey Congs replaced Undercliffe at the top of Division Two after beating them by 22 runs at Intake Road.

Adam Patrick was their match winners with 5-28 as Undercliffe were dismissed for 142 in reply to Congs’ total of 164-8.

Chris Doey (3-27) gave good support to Patrick as Undercliffe faltered. Zafran Ghaffar (36) and Arslan Mahmood (32) were their top scorers.

Matthew Humpleby (37) had been the main contributor to the Congs score of 164-8 against some good bowling from Darren Drake (3-33) and Adam Frost (3-32).

Congs now hold an eight-point lead over Undercliffe, who are seven points in front of New Farnley, who defeated Idle by 50 runs.

Reece Thompson hammered 74 as New Farnley made 145, then Joe Bedford took 5-53 as Idle were all out for 95. Chiggy Patel’s 4-30 was the high spot for Idle.

Pudsey St Lawrence remained in the hunt after securing a two-wicket win over Brighouse with three balls to spare.

Duncan Butler’s fine 94 and an unbeaten 30 from Robert Thornton enables St Lawrence to overhaul Brighouse’s total of 231-8. Chris Maloney (68) and Christian Dunkerley (36) were the top scorers for Brighouse while Archie Scott (5-53) and Chris Sharkey (3-60) bowled well for St Lawrence.

Skipper Stuart Houlbrook took 5-33 as Spen Victoria sealed a 141-run win over Saltaire. Thanks to Houlbrook, Spen were able to dismiss Saltaire for 128 in reply to their score of 269-9.

Oliver Davidson top-scored for Spen with 72 while Sean Burns chipped in with 39. The best of the Saltaire bowlers was Moey Hassan (4-58).

Tony Blain (91no) and Craig Lightowler (65no) shared an unbroken third-wicket stand of 105 as Gomersal beat Cleckheaton by eight wickets.

Elliott Hallas continued his good form for Cleckheaton with 73 while Ross Irving made 43 not out and skipper Chris Dobson 31 in a total of 212. Jordan Bloom (3-46) and Matt Hirst (3-52) were Gomersal’s best bowlers.

An unbeaten 109 from Khurram Rasheed enabled Manningham Mills to secure a nine-wicket win over Bankfoot.

Rasheed was joined in an undefeated second-wicket stand of 157 by Imzan Rehman (42no) as Mills overhauled Bankfoot’s score of 165. Atif Khokhar dominated the Bankfoot innings with 68 as Raees Khan took 3-21.

Sarfaraz Ahmed took 5-15 as Great Horton dismissed Windhill for 61 to set up a nine-wicket win.
