The heaviest fish caught during the week was a 5lb rainbow trout by Derek Smith using Dawson Olive. Other fish of note: 3lb+ 8, 4lb+ 4. 5lb+ 1. Fewston: Trout are taking nymph just below the surface. There is good evening rise most days. Swinsty: Fish are moving into shallow water and feeding on emerging fly. Thruscross: Brown trout are topping and taking nymph and buzzer as insects emerge. Catch details (week ending May 19) – Day ticket: Fewston 35, Swinsty 7, Thruscross (catch & return) 21; total fish caught: Fewston 225, Swinsty 36, Thruscross 8; average per rod: Fewston 6.4, Swinsty 5.1, Thruscross 4.

BRADFORD & DISTRICT SEA AC

Our trip to Rhyl on Wednesday had to be cancelled because of an increasing northerly wind. Our next trip is also to Rhyl on Wednesday, June 19, with an 8.30am sailing time. BRADFORD No1 AA

Sunday’s members’ match at Raskelf Lake was won by Graham Jackson with 50lb 12oz of F1s and ide on feeder. James Vickerman caught a mixed bag for 48lb 11oz and second place, followed by Howard Foster (46lb 11oz) and Pete Wilson (45lb). The next members’ match is at Cowthorpe on Sunday, June 16. Shelf Dam is producing good nets of bream and roach on maggot and caster. Gratrix is worth a visit this week for small carp, chub and ide. Carp to over 20lb are being caught regularly from Knotford Lagoon.

BRADFORD PALS AC

Sunday’s match at Lindholme Lakes on Loco was won by Keith Spink with 32lb 9oz. Other results (19 fished): 2 Andy Clough 29lb 6oz, 3 Pete Holden 26lb 8oz, 4 Trevor Wood 25lb 0oz. Our next match is on Sunday, June 16 at the Oaks Lakes on Alders Lake (high pegs), with a 9am draw. The cafe opens at 7.30am and you must use their feed pellets, with no exceptions. Anyone not fishing this match must notify the match secretary before June 9.

LISTERHILLS AA

The draw for Saturday’s open match on the canal at Rodley will be made at 9am by the bridge. The next members’ match at Pilley’s is on Sunday, June 2. There has been a general improvement at all venues and some big perch have come from the canal, with worm the most successful bait.

CENTRAL AC

Our next match is at Tollerton on Sunday. Meet 8am at the venue for fishing from 9am to 3pm. Keep nets are provided by the fishery.
