Gary Jones was today named on the short-list for the League Two player of the year.

And why not. He's been great this season. A couple of off days, like any other player, but good luck Gary, would be deserved.

Good luck but after the season he has had I think Pope may win this, then again, how many 4th division captains have led their team out at Wembley for a major trophy final.

Excellent news....Jonah has been outstanding this season and fully deserves to win. A real pity we didn't have him five years earlier!

Aaaaand, I have heard that if we fail to gain promotion, v likely, then he will stay for one more season. If we had been promoted I think the consensus was that the league above would have been too much week in week out for him, not sure I agree with that watching his performances week after week.

Arguably Parkinsons best signing. Passionate, skilful, hard as nails and a great leader.

Good to see someone playing with a smile on their face. A simple gesture that lifts the crowd.

How are these things selected? Who has an input.

Jones has been excellent over the course of the season but I wouldn't be certain to select him as OUR player of the season. I think McArdle would probably edge it for me and but for injury, James Meredith would be getting my vote (he still might if he plays the rest of the matches)

Having said that, Doyle, Wells, Darby and McHugh have all had good seasons and Willo has justified PP's faith in him too. For the first time in years; i want us to keep most of our squad for next season with two or three quality additions.
