Silsden produce shock double over Maine Road

Silsden pulled off an incredible double tonight with a 2-1 victory at second-placed Maine Road to end their long losing streak in the North West Counties Premier Division.
The Cobbydalers beat the then league leaders 4-2 back in January but had not won for ten games since.
However, they overturned the odds to lead 1-0 at half-time thanks to Josh McNulty’s 42nd-minute free-kick, which the home keeper misjudged.
They were pegged back by a Matthew Warburton free-kick but Chris Williams slid in a late goal to give the visitors a shock victory.
