Bulls vow to help out stricken Ryan Glynn

The Bulls have expressed their support for former Academy player Ryan Glynn, who suffered a serious spinal injury when playing for Shaw Cross Sharks on Saturday.

The stand-off from Dewsbury, who spent two years on Bradford’s books between 2005 and 2006, sustained the injury in his club’s National Conference League game at Elland.

He underwent two major operations on Monday at the specialist spinal unit in Sheffield and had screws fixed into his dislodged vertebrae.

Bulls media and football manager Stuart Duffy said: “Everybody at the club is absolutely devastated for Ryan.

“He played here for two years as a junior and if we can do anything as a club to help him then we certainly will.”

Shaw Cross have revealed plans to raise funds to support the player and his family. Anyone wanting to contribute should contact Shaw Cross secretary Benny Richardson on 07803-347721.
