Former Yorkshire batsman Jacques Rudolph has lost his central contract with Cricket South Africa.

The 31-year-old left-hander had scored 594 runs in 13 Test matches, including three fifties and a hundred, since relinquishing his status as a Kolpak player in county cricket at the end of the 2010 season.

Rudolph played 35 of his 48 Tests prior to joining Yorkshire in 2007 and featured as both an opener and in the middle order upon his return to the side during the last two years.

He has not played for South Africa since the second Test of their series against Australia at Adelaide last November.

Rudolph also played for Yorkshire as an overseas player in 2011 and for Surrey last season. He scored 9,229 runs for the White Rose county in all forms of cricket.
