By Bill Marshall, T&A Sports Reporter
Former New Zealand cricketer Jeremy Coney, who is now a popular broadcaster and summariser, will be the guest speaker at the JCT600 Bradford League’s 2013 annual dinner.
Coney, 60, played 52 Tests for his country and scored 2,668 runs. He also took 27 wickets.
The Wellington all-rounder, who was a hit at the Halifax Cricket League’s annual dinner last November, represented the Kiwis in 88 one-day internationals, scoring 1,874 runs and taking 54 wickets.
This year’s Bradford dinner will be held at the Cedar Court Hotel on Friday, November 29.
League president Keith Moss said: “We were delighted with the reaction to Alec Stewart last year and are delighted to have signed another top cricket speaker.”
Tickets have been pegged at last year’s price of £33 and there is a discount offer of £300 for tables of ten.
Ticket enquiries should be made to league secretary Steve Raistrick on 07884-286210 or by e-mailing secretary@bradfordcl.com.
