Our next game is the most important - Baildon coach Dave Duxbury

Baildon might look to be in pole position to clinch the second promotion position from SSE Yorkshire Division Three but head coach Dave Duxbury is not holding too much store by that.

The Jenny Laners are currently third with 70 points having played 20 matches but are only a point behind Goole, who have played 21.

Duxbury said: “We might have a game in hand but a slip up will bring others into the equation and it is all to play for.

“Your hardest game is always your next, and we are playing Aireborough, who are playing well and beat us earlier in the season.

“We only played for 25 minutes last week when we beat Leeds Medics & Dentists but it was the last 25 minutes, and that was the same as the week before.

“We must find a way to start more quickly but we have a strong bench, which will be needed to counter Aireborough’s physical presence in the pack, and I understand that their backs are also playing well.”

Baildon welcome back scrum half James Dawson, who will be skipper on his recovery fron an arm injury, but Jake Duxbury is resting an ongoing shoulder injury and Marcus Dracup is awaiting the birth of his first daughter, so Nicky Lister is at fly half and Shawn Stewart in the centres.

Baildon (home to Aireborough) from: A Hewitt, D Tabiner, P Lowth, C Woodhall, J Fox, T Craven, J Picken, A Beaumont, J Dawson, N Lister, R Kingham, S Stewart, E Morgan, H Lister, J Huss, A Crooks, G Price, P Wilson, A Pollard, O Waddington.
