Neil Parsley demands Farsley improvement

Farsley’s promotion challenge simply cannot survive another hit so they must make the most of their Evo-Stik League trip to Radcliffe Borough on Saturday.

The Lancashire outfit are sixth from bottom in Division One North but that is no guarantee that an out-of-sorts Farsley will claim maximum points.

Neil Parsley’s men have taken just one point from their last four fixtures and are on the back of three straight defeats, all against mid-table teams.

That sequence of results has dropped Farsley to 11th and leaves them ten points off the play-offs with just 11 games remaining.

Parsley was typically honest and forthright following last weekend’s 2-1 home loss to Burscough, who leapfrogged his side in the table.

“Going into the Radcliffe game, we need a marked improvement because that performance – in front of our home spectators – was not good enough in my book,” he said.

“We created chances without being fluid in the first half. That was acceptable and it gave us a platform to build on but we didn’t capitalise on it.

“I’m the manager of this team and I don’t think that performance was good enough. We have to do better at Radcliffe.”
