Louie Swain spurs City reserves to emphatic win

Grimsby Reserves 0, Bradford City Reserves 4
A youthful City reserve side claimed a comfortable 4-0 win at Grimsby this afternoon, despite losing their keeper with an early injury.
Jack Bentley suffered a head injury inside the first minute but it did not deter the Bantams, who also included several trialists from the RIASA American University programme.
Connor Bower opened the scoring before an own goal and two more from fellow apprentice striker Louie Swain sealed an emphatic result.
With fixtures piling up, City’s second string will play twice next week - against Chesterfield on Monday and Hartlepool two days later.
