Liversedge take point off high-fliers

Liversedge did their neighbours Brighouse a good turn as they held third-placed Bridlington to a 1-1 draw at Clayborn in the Northern Counties East Premier Division.

Following a goalless first half visitors Brid broke the deadlock from the penalty spot when Chris Batchelor netted in the 52nd minute.

Sedge levelled through Chris Hirst on the hour to thwart Brid’s chances of going above Brighouse overnight on goal difference.
