Kate Hardcastle will today meet with Rugby Football League officials following her recent appointment as a non-executive director at Bradford Bulls.

The newly-crowned Tesco Mum of the Year and lifelong Bulls fan (pictured) came on board at the Super League club in January.

She said she would devote 20 days of her time over the next 12 months to boost the Bulls’ brand and fanbase as well as attracting more women and families to the sport.

The businesswoman spoke to Prime Minister David Cameron at Downing Street this week about her role ahead of International Women’s Day on Friday.

She said: “This will be my first official meeting with the RFL and I’ll be discussing not only what we’re doing with Bradford Bulls but what we can do to increase the role of women in sport.”
