The Bradford Mutual Sunday School League have decided to bring in identity cards.
Having first toyed with the idea in 2010, they have opted to introduce the cards in time for the new season.
Identity cards co-ordinator Zaheer Ahmed said: “Clubs can start sending me the information now if they want.
“I don’t want to be doing 700 cards at the special identity cards meeting at Great Horton Church Cricket Club on Tuesday, April 23.
“We would only want a photo and the player’s name, and it would be up to the opposing captains to check the names and photos before matches.
“If there is any dispute then the umpire or umpires would become involved.”
League secretary Taj Butt said: “Each team will receive 15 cards free and the rest will cost £2.50 each.”
