Salts and Tyersal bidding for more semi-finals
4:40pm Thursday 21st February 2013 in Sport By Philip Rhodes
Having already reached the semi-finals of the Bradford & District FA Saturday Senior Cup, Salts now want to get to the last four of the West Riding County Amateur League's Premier Division Cup
With semi-final berths booked in the Bradford & District FA Saturday Senior Cup, Salts and Tyersal are bidding to reach the last four in the West Riding County Amateur League's Premier Division Cup on Saturday.
Salts travel to holders Ovenden West Riding (1.45pm) but after beating them 3-2 in the league at the start of the month, Salts should be confident of victory.
Tyersal are also on the road, facing Hall Green United, who they have already done the double over in the league.
One of the two remaining quarter-finals, between Bay Athletic and Golcar United, will be played tomorrow at Overthorpe Sports Club, while the Steeton v Marsden tie will be played on Saturday, March 9.
In the Premier Division, the two clubs holding up the division - Littletown and Overthorpe - will clash at Littletown’s Beck Lane ground, while Campion travel to Storthes Hall.
With none of the top five involved in league games, victory for either side would move them up into fifth.
