Wibsey Park Chapel at Queensbury in cup derby

Hosts Queensbury and Wibsey Park Chapel are meeting in a Parish Cup derby this season in the Halifax League.

Both teams finished fifth in their respective divisions last season - Queensbury in Roy Smith Division One and Wibsey in Terry Wynne Division Two.

Oxenhope, who just missed out on promotion to the Premier Division, host Denholme Clough in another derby on Sunday, May 12, the latter having finished bottom of the pile in 2012.

Low Moor, surprise runners-up to SBCI last season, have an opportunity to repeat their semi-final success when they host Premier Division Booth, while Clayton, promoted from the First Division as runners-up, visit Northowram Hedge Top, who finished two places below them.

Jer Lane, who were seventh in the top flight, travel to Greetland, who were relegated from Division Two.

Parish Cup - First round (matches to be played on Sunday, May 12): Luddenden Foot v Thornton, Blackley v Old Crossleyans, Stones v Shelf, Oxenhope v Denholme Clough, Old Town v Warley, Greetland v Jer Lane, Low Moor v Booth, Northowram HT v Clayton, Bridgeholme v Bradshaw, Southowram v Sowerby Bridge, Queensbury v Wibsey PC, Sowerby SP v Copley, Outlane v Augustinians, SBCI v Stainland. Byes: Mytholmroyd, Triangle. Ties are reversed for Crossley Shield.

Second round (matches to be played on Sunday, June 2): Greetland or Jer Lane v Queensbury v Wibsey PC, Luddenden Foot or Thornton v Outlane v Augustinians, SBCI or Stainland v Mytholmroyd, Triangle v Blackley v Old Crossleyans, Stones or Shelf v Old Town or Warley, Northowram HT or Clayton v Bridgeholme v Bradshaw, Southowram or Sowerby Bridge v Sowerby SP or Copley, Low Moor or Booth v Oxenhope or Denholme Clough. Ties are reversed for Crossley Shield.
