Nick Scruton has been charged with a Grade B offence
Bradford Bulls prop Nick Scruton has been charged with committing a Grade B offence in Saturday's Super League victory over Castleford at Odsal.

It's a joke. They're just making the rules as they go along now...how the hell is anyone meant to know what to do when one week it's illegal and the week after it's all OK!
O'Brien came back on...unlike Hardaker at Leeds who was knocked out by Chase.

It should be pointed out that the Referee and the match commissioner said that it wasn't a reckless tackle, presumably the one against Kearney wasn't either???
Otherwise it could be seen as victimisation???

Forget the early guilty plea......no case to answer. The RFL's review panel is a joke

Scrutton should be let off, no contact with head and not particularly late.

Just read the RFL site, Jake Webster's challenge on Kearney was referred, but they decided they couldn't tell where the contact was from the DVD provided.

Doesn't it make a mockery of the disciplinary procedures?
If the compliance person couldn't see the evidence of the Webster challenge on Kearney: which was after the ball was kicked with the player (kearney) already running into the line of attack , and Webster's feet were off the floor when contact was made, which implies a deliberate lunge> Kearney's head was subsequently thrown back by the force of what looked like a forearm. He received treatment for nearly 1 minute.
What else did they wish to see to make the same charge against Webster, that has been given to Scruton???
If Scruton get's a ban a further travesty will have been perpetrated.
For full evidence of this event,( which was more deliberate and cynical than the alleged Scruton striking with the shoulder incident,) maybe they should look at the sky coverage once again, it's there for all to see!

Or did Cas sent them 2 dvd's of the incidents, one enhanced where Scrutton, when viewed in slow motion, takes out knuckledusters and pounds the cas player half a dozen times whilst on the floor.
the other where Kearny trips over a blade of grass, whilst Webster is sat in the stand with a pint of tetleys, well away from the action.

Good news, @SuperLeague: Disciplinary: Nick Scruton avoids suspension after he appeared on a Grade B charge. Panel said 1st contact legal & suspension unecessary.
Liked Bone's deduction though, RFL and cynicism are starting to go together!

I fear the RFL want to set precedents, but this isn't even on a par with Chases and compared to the French blokes....that was bad.
I think they are going on the outcome and not the actually challenge.
