Bradford youngsters can have sporting half-term

10:00am Saturday 16th February 2013

Bradford Council has organised a range of sporting courses and challenges this half term to help children and young people use up their energy, have fun and boost their skills at the same time.

Youngsters can try athletics, badminton, cricket, karate, base camps and trampolining at Council-run sports centres and swimming pools across the district.

Junior gyms which are adult-free zones can be found at the Tzone at Thornton Recreation Centre, Richard Dunn Sports Centre and the Shokk gym at the Leisure Centre Keighley. Under 16s can stay healthy with weights, treadmill, bikes and rowing machines. All gyms play the latest music and have televisions.

The Leisure Centre Keighley will run an all-inclusive half-term special membership for juniors of £7.50. The offer includes swimming, street dance Shokk gym, fitcraft, football frenzy, what a racket, groovy gymnastics and dance. The membership runs from today until to Sunday, February 24.

A junior swim offer is also available through the half term holidays and youngsters can swim for just £1 each.

Full details of all courses and offers can be found by phoning your local swimming pool or sports centre.
