Bradford Dragons hoping to claim scalp of Tees Valley Mohawks
7:00pm Friday 15th February 2013 in Sport By Mark Mills, Basketball Reporter
Oliver Hylands hopes to be among the points for Bradford Dragons tomorrow night
Eighth-placed Bradford Dragons will face Tees Valley Mohawks tomorrow in vcars.co.uk Men's Division One at Bradford College Sports Hall (6.15pm).
The Dragons are coming off a disappointing loss at Worthing Thunder last weekend, where they played dominant basketball for 35 of the 40 minutes but still came away defeated.
The Mohawks, who are fourth, also come off a double-loss weekend against Worthing and Bristol Academy Flyers.
Tees Valley are the last team for the Dragons to match up with this season, but Dragons' head coach Chris Mellor is aware of their threats, saying: "They have three big scorers in (Jorge) Ebanks, (David) Hanson and (Jamie) Kohn.
"But they are a deep team with numerous players who have also posted double figures on different nights so far this season, so our concentration levels defensively in transition and closing out on the perimeter are going to be key factors."
The game at Trinity Road (BD5 0JE) will attract a near-capacity crowd.
Bradford Dragons' women face Sefton Starlights at 2.15pm, followed by Dragons II facing Oldham Titans at 4.15pm.
The juniors are also in action, with the under-16 boys taking on York Eagles at Buttershaw Business & Enterprise College (11am), while the under-18 men have to wait until Sunday for their trip to Doncaster Danum Eagles.
