Farsley set to make two additions to squad
7:00pm Thursday 14th February 2013 in Sport By Ian Whiting
Ryan Harrison's spectacular strike put Farsley ahead at Goole
Farsley manager Neil Parsley is backing his squad to respond positively from last weekend’s disappointing home draw when they head to Evo-Stik Division One North play-off rivals Curzon Ashton on Saturday.
Parsley’s men dropped out of the play-off places following last Saturday’s 1-1 stalemate against relegation-threatened Goole.
Farsley are four places above tenth placed Curzon, however. Just four points separate the clubs and the hosts have two games in hand.
Parsley said: “It was disappointing that Goole held us but let's take nothing away from them because they deserved their point. It was more of a lacklustre performance from us really.
“We went ahead with a superb goal from Ryan (Harrison) but we couldn’t capitalise on it and let them back into the game.”
The boss feels that point will still be a valuable one if they can gain all three from their trip to Ashton. Parsley is also hoping to add to his squad before the game.
He said: “There could possibly be a couple of additions, but I can’t say more at this stage. If we can get a win on Saturday then four points from the two games would be a good return.
“Curzon is a tough place to go - even when their form has not what you might expect from them - but I will back my squad to go anywhere and be capable of getting a result, and if we strengthen in a couple of areas then all the better.”
