Snow forces games to be called off

All four games involving local semi-professional clubs tonight have been postponed.

Second-placed Brighouse Town were denied the chance to go top of the Baris Northern Counties East Premier Division when their trip to Heanor Town was called off. The Derbyshire club’s groundstaff were optimistic early on but a fresh downfall of snow put paid to any chances.

The same fate befell Liversedge’s trip to Staveley MW in the same division and Albion Sports’ trip to Askern Villa and Eccleshill United’s home game against Worsborough Bridge Athletic in the lower tier.
