Halifax League club Low Moor have suffered a new-year blow with the death of their president Trevor Tetley.
The club’s chairman Tony Hubbert said at the league’s February meeting at Pellon Social Club: “He fulfilled many roles within the club, including chairman. He had been ill for several years.”
A minute’s silence was also held for Harry Andrew, of Northowram Hedge Top - a Brian Clough-like figure who famous for shouting ‘Get off that square or else’ - and Alan Marsden of Sowerby Bridge.
