Thackley enjoyed a thumping 4-0 home win in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division.

The Dennyboys were good value for their win over a young Long Eaton United side, with first-half goals for Mark Bett and Matt Morgan – from the penalty spot – while Jordan Missin and Matt Mathers were on target after the break.

Brighouse Town beat visitors Glasshoughton Welfare 2-1 but both teams ended with ten men after Tom Matthews and Craig Maynard were sent off in the 70th minute.

The home side took a slender lead into the break after Danny Nadiole had broken the deadlock midway through the first half.

Ernest Boafo doubled Town’s advantage just after the hour mark and Robert Pell netted the visitors’ consolation with just over a minute remaining.

Albion Sports and Eccleshill United netted double figures between them in Division One.

Albion reclaimed third spot thanks to a 5-2 home victory over Worsbrough Bridge.

Adam Jones opened the scoring before a brace from Graeme Sides made it 3-0 but Lee Garside pulled one back with a first-half penalty and Adam Podmore added soon after the break as the visitors came back.

A double from Karl Hall within a five-minute spell midway through the second half was just reward for Albion’s dominance.

The Eagles also scored five as they eased their league position with a 5-1 win at Askern Villa.

Ben Lamb broke the deadlock minutes before the interval and Drake Trease doubled the advantage early in the second half. Ishmeal Mills made it three before Villa’s Brendan Thompson netted a 73rd-minute penalty but Dylan Stone and Marcus Edwards added late goals for Eccleshill.
