Eagles bid to join West Bowling in semi-finals
5:00pm Friday 8th February 2013 in Sport By Trevor Adams
Division One side White Eagles are aiming to become the second Bradford Sunday Alliance outfit to reach the West Riding County FA Sunday Cup semi-finals.
They host one of the tournament favourites, Chapletown Fforde Green, at Green Top Street (11am). Having surprised a number of clubs in higher divisions, Eagles will feel capable of another upset with home advantage.
Regular County Cup heroes West Bowling have already booked their semi-final birth by beating Stanningley Albion.
There is also a third-round Senior Cup tie worth watching when Premier Division leaders Buttershaw White Star visit King George playing fields to face second-placed Bolton Woods.
In the league, Premier Division West Bowling play only their eighth fixture when they visit Dudley Hill Rangers.
The Intermediate Cup fourth-round tie between West Riding County Trophy semi-finalists Pudsey Amateurs (Division 2B) and New Inn Celtic (1B) should be another cracking game.
