Yorkshire have confirmed that none of their players will be involved in Saturday’s Indian Premier League auction in Chennai.

While some counties will be hit by unavailability of players for the early stages of the summer due to the IPL, the White Rose county have no such worries on top of the obvious international commitments for Jonny Bairstow and Joe Root.

Despite his starring role in the Champions League t20 shop window in October, Gary Ballance will start the season in a Yorkshire shirt.

If Tim Bresnan overcomes the elbow problem which forced him out of England's current tour of New Zealand, he is likely to do so as well.

Last season’s overseas South African batsman David Miller will play for Kings XI Punjab, but Australia fast bowler Mitchell Starc has opted to put his country first ahead of back-to-back Ashes series and not put his name up for auction.
