No Softley, Softley approach from Jake
4:30pm Tuesday 29th January 2013 in Sport By Sports Desk
Dudley Hill Rangers under-nines triumphed over the weather by switching their game to an artificial pitch, and the arrangement paid dividends against a brave Cononley side.
Rangers' victory was marked by an amazing treble of firsts for Jake Softley, whose debut as captain brought him his first man of the match award this season and his first-ever hat trick, with his second try being the pick of the bunch - a spinning, low half-volley.
Harry Norton (3), Spencer Dunk (3), Dominic Howard (2), Carl Hadley and Niall Griffiths were the other scorers.
Cononleys goal was not be dismissed with a strike direct from a centre beating Rangers Rajan Sandhu.
