This is my last year as Gordon Bowers chief - Tom Priestley

Tom Priestley has been running the Gordon Bowers Eight-A-Side Competition - be that under-12s or under-nines - for 30 years but would like someone to replace him.

The competition committee only consists of four people, and they are all heavily involved with other cricketing matters.

However, Tom has agreed to run the event this year, although he would like his replacement to get in touch with him on 01274-872942 or at tpriestley346@btinternet.com - preferably before spring bank holiday.

If any club is interested in joining the under-nines event this year, they can request an entry form from Tom.

Closing date is February 25 and the entry fee is £5.
