Bradford City announce sales details for Wembley tickets
9:36am Sunday 27th January 2013 in Sport
By Simon Parker, Bradford City Reporter
City players celebrate reaching the Capital One Cup final
Tickets for the Capital One Cup final will go on sale from 9am on Wednesday.
City have confirmed that season-ticket and flexicard holders will have a fortnight’s exclusive window until the close of business on Wednesday, February 13 to buy.
They will be able to purchase a maximum of three tickets per person.
These can be bought via telephone on a special ticketing contact centre which has been set up or online via the club website.
Cup final tickets will NOT be on sale from the ground but the ticket office will provide a “help zone” to assist with any problems that fans may have.
The exception will be those buying tickets for supporters with a disability who have special seating requirements.
City have advised fans to log on to the ticketing system before Wednesday to make sure their accounts are up to date and that friends and family are “linked” where applicable.
The club have been given an allocation of 31,852 for Wembley. Plans to put tickets on general sale will be announced nearer the time.
Don’t miss the Telegraph & Argus on Tuesday for an in-depth question and answer session with City director of operations David Baldwin.

As a concession ticket holder will i be able to purchase one for an over 60's supporter who is unable to attend all games and has no link to a pc. if so how do i prove d.o.b. online, this of course means me asking for two concessionary tickets will the club charge the full amount for my second ticket ? oh! before anybody posts back i am not looking for a cheap deal this is just an enquiry.
If its the same as for the Arsenal/Villa games theres a drop down box that lets you add the tickets according to child, adult etc.

We 'only' had 18,000 home fans at Villa, its often the same for big games - huge upsurge in sales at the start (8000 sales on first day for Villa) then rapid drop until they go on general sale.

BRADFORD CITY DIRECTORS YOU HAVE GOT THE WEMBLEY TICKET ALLOCATION VERY BADLY WRONG. The support of BCFC is more than just the season ticket holders. I agree that season ticket holders deserve priority and should be allocated TWO tickets each. However, by giving THREE tickets each to season ticket holders then non season ticket holders are being treated really poorly. As a former Bantams Bar season ticket holder some loyal long standing fans such as me cannot justify having a season or flexi ticket as I work every Saturday and am away most Tuesday/Wednesdays with work. Despite this I suport the club every season by going to Valley Parade (and also supporting away) when I can and buying shirts, scarfes, kit, etc. I have been to hundreds of non glamour matches (including many pre season matches) and do not expect a Wembley ticket but do expect a fair chance of a Wembley ticket. I was at both the Arsenal and Villa games having waited a long time for tickets and paid extra which as this was fair was not an issue. Put simply if I cannot a ticket to Wembley having supported my club through hundreds and hundreds of matches over three decades then your poor allocation of tickets will have let me down and damaged my own feelings for the club. When this cup run is over you will need fans like me to still come - please remember this.
You say you can't get to games due to work commitments, but then add that you managed to get to both the Villa and Arsenal games. How come you weren't working?
Look, my eldest son can't get to games anymore as he works nights, including weekends. As such, when we kick off on a Saturday afternoon, he is just going to bed. When the games finish on a Tues night, he is about to wake up again. Despite this, he bought himself a flexi card. He has used it once...! It has cost him £60 to watch that 1 game, but he is now going to Wembley. He has already booked off his holiday.
What I am getting at is that YOU also had the opportunity to buy a flexi card at £50, but chose not to. Now you are bleating that it isn't fair that you may have to join a queue for a ticket..!

If you supported the club in the way you say you did, then i am sure you will have firends who still go and if they are true friends they will get you a ticket. However if you have a chip on your shoulder, then perhaps you have no friends?

I see many differing views on here but one thing is clear, all are supporters of Bradford City. I think the Directors have put two proverbial fingers up to the casual supporter who cannot (for many differing reasons) attend every home match by chosing three per STH. As a casual supporter for many years with a young son, I was encouraged NOT to buy a flex card or season ticket if I thought I would attend 5 or less matches. The club have now severely limited my chances of getting a ticket partly through following their advice (!!). This is despite me spending £150 plus food and programme each year since I was last a STH in 2008. Very good way to treat a supporter of 30 years. Good luck City, I hope I get a tickets for both my son and I but if not I fear the football club will get less £ of me in future. CTID

It said u may be 'better off' buying a season ticket for £200 if you intend going to 15+ games a season. A flexi card for less than 15 but more than 5 and if u expect to go only 5 times are less, then u still have the option on just paying £20 on the gate at those matches.
The club were advertising season tickets/flexis so were highlighting the benefit/savings of each option. They did NOT give advice and you chose the option that YOU felt best. Stop friggin bleating...!

Of course priority should be given to current season ticket holders but the other big question here has to be why do they need 2 weeks to purchase tickets and let others know they will be attending or not and arrange travel accommodation etc.
I haven't been a season ticket holder now for about 10 years but followed city home and away for the 10 years preceding that. I live down south and can only attend occasionally but made it to the semi in Birmingham.
I would love to take my dad who lives at the other end of the country but he is elderly and ideally arrangements need to be made in advance, and not 10 days in advance.
Why do season ticket holders need 2 weeks to log on and buy tickets?
Strange really.

Swansea are making tickets available on general sale from the 7th FEB after leeway for season ticket holders to purchase.
Please give us chance to know if we can get tickets or not in a reasonable time before the 24th Feb and not from the 14th Feb only.
Any season tickets needing IT lessons in order to achieve logging on within A WEEK, and I will personally guide them through it on your behalf :)

Following that its down to the people who actually put money into the club and the players.

Rubbish.
Im not going all 'super fan' here, but why should I and many other ST holders, some of whom go up and down the country as well, possibly be put in the same bracket as the Jonny-come-latelys? FFS, I know people who are armchair Man United fans who all of sudden are asking me to get tickets. I know people who've never been to BCAFC games and have developed a sudden interest.
I'll be damned if the club suddenly start valuing people like that on equal terms with people I know who run supporters groups/coaches and fans who travel to tinpot grounds 6 hours drive away.
There is a massive, obvious difference between people who are fans who haven't been an ST holder, or have moved away etc. And the people who are clearly jumping on the bandwagon.

Then nearly into division 1 and eventually the prem when guess what? So called supporters jumping on the BCFC bandwagon. I live away from Bradford now, do not have a season ticket any longer but go to probably 15+ away games per season. Does this make me any less loyal than season ticket holders? The club needs to be careful not to disenfranchise non season ticket loyal supporters who have been there through the genuinely grim times and are still there now.

The one thing I worry about is the general sale, if it is just completely general sale then anyone from lands end to John o groats could phone or register to get a ticket. I think a tier system should be used for this ie ticket Stubbs to combat any Tom Richard or Harry going. Anyway remember "it's only a cup" !

If all ST's and 50/50 took up their maximum allocation at Wembley there would still be about 6,000 seats spare.

What is it about this person that they feel, as a former supporter (now just a follower) that they have the God given right to a ticket!
If they have been going for years and years then surely they will have a family or friend who can get them a ticket. Perhaps if their friends or family were limited to 1 or 2 tickets they may not choose to give Eldwick one!
In the meantime if Eldwick is such a 'loner' then they will have to get in the line for one of the 6,000+.

Wembley ticket policy is spot on and correct!
The club stated on twitter there are almost 10000 season ticket /flexi holders but there will be other tickets available , Wembley holds 90000 so if people really want them they will be able to purchase from other places.
Lets fill the place with bradford fans!!

So for those blaming the board, you are more than likely to be wrong. Swansea are offering 2 per season ticket holder as they have double the number of season tickets, trust me if they had the same they would be doing the same.
There will still be plenty on sale when it comes to general sale so my advise is get there early, surely as Eldwick bantam works every day of the week he'll find a fault with that too.

And if the £50 at the start of the season was tooo much( ???) then they released again at Christmas with a price of £25, these extra sales by the way are counted as STs when purchasing so the truer figure for ST holders able to buy 3 tickets is just under 10k which means just over 2k for general sale to those who claim to support the club but have no physical evidence of this. LIKE A SEASON TICKET
CTID

I appreciate they'll be people who can't go to city any more for a number of reasons who have previously gone but if you have been following them for so many years has some people say and it's only this year that they cannot go then surely you are good friends with season ticket holders??? . HAPPY WATCHING ON TV PLASTICS . #saynotoplastics WELL DONE MR LAWN & MR RHODES!!!LOL what an idiot

Lets not forget City had to get the OK from the Football League about how they were going to sell the tickets so they must be happy

You had the choice to purchase or not like everyone else. The past 10 years for us season ticket holders have been very hard at times but we stuck through it. Can others say the same?
Most non season ticket holders understand thats the gamble you take and that loyalty should be rewarded. Without the season ticket holders purchasing every year regardless of reward we most likely wouldn't have a club to support never mind at wembley.
My advice is save 5 to 10 pounds each week and buy a season ticket next year and each year after that.....that way if we ever do something like this again then you'll be the one smiling......

What a Mess !!
If a set THOUSAND'S of "united" - City supporters (both Season Ticket Holders and Pay at the Gate) very much "helped" City get to Wembley - a few short days later - reading this "mixed-bag" of posts is anything to go by it looks like we're heading towards a "Civil War"?
On the one side we have the "We love City more than you do because we bought a" - Season Ticket / Flexi Card Mob .....
..... And on the Other - the "Can't get to EVERY match but I still love the club and.....
.....(then you get theSupporters Historic C.V. to justify said persons right to buy a Wembley Ticket!)
And BOTH sets of supporters have an "absolute right" to their points of view.............How
ever
What I personally have found in falling regrettably into the latter category is that - Whilst if you are a S T - F C holder then it is ALL "very" straightforward and ..............
..........BOY will all those families of Dad - Mum + 1 or 2 Kids "Make a killing" selling ALL those 3 tickets apiece on th Black Market ??
3 Tickets "EACH" - Utterly Bonkers - aint TWO enough ?
Whereas if youre one of the poor sods (quite clearly now regarded as second class fans) who's spent a small fortune over the years - 46 in my own case - especially following the Cup Run - Home and Away - its a case of ......
.........Well - "Thank You Very Much" but we can't promise that you are gonna have a "Cat in Hells Chance" of actually personally witnessing a piece of History last witnessed in 1911 despite paying £1,000's and £1,000's over the years to (in the main) be VERY VERY Dissapointed!
What makes matters worse is that the clubs organisation and attitude to te "great disenfranchised" 2nd class supporters since getting toWembley has been at BEST - "Administratively Hopeless" and at WORST "Bordering on Contempt"....What do I mean?
Well am I the only one who hs NOT had a phone call to god knows how many numbers NOT answered since about a week ago? I "kid" you not.
So I go down to the ground and --- "Hey - Lets play it your way then... Ive a load of cards here - even CASH if you prefer???
Please Can I BUY a season ticket or maybe even a Flexi - Card?? (I ask wth genuine "hope" in my heart?)
The entirely jaded ticket seller type person with a look of disdain informs me that -...........(wait for it) ................
....."They" stopped selling them YESTERDAY"..........
.......Did "they" Really?
So what do we do to "Get a ticket" I ask because "They" were MORE THAN HAPPY to take nearly £400.00 from me and my couple of mates for the Arsenal & Villa games?
.........And ....."They" didnt seem to care a jot when taking y money then wether me - my son or pals were Season Ticket or Flexi Card Holders.............
In fact if they had relied solely on that quartile of fan base to the exclusion of all of us 2nd Class Fans ........ Then Hey Presto - against Arsenal alone there would have been around NINE THOUSAND FEWER CITY SUPPORTERS - You get my drift?
Having visited the ground again yesterday I am informed that there will be an "announcement going out" (to the sub-strata supporters) sometime in early February - So we "untouchables" must ALL wait with baited breath for "that" then mustn't we.
As I said ..........the way its been handled is a mess and frankly "totally divisive" towards a Fan Base that in our "massed united hordes" - when working with the guys on the pitch (as a 12th man) to ..."slay the mighty" on those Glory Glory History making Nights - Didn't identify each supporter as being either - First Class or (as it now seems) "Second" class in their Passion - Fervour and yes - "Love" ..........for the Team - The Club and indeed the City of Bradford.
"Unity" has been our "strength" - the events as are now unfolding threaten that new found strength and could leave many very loyal lifetime supporters with a "very" bitter taste in their mouths after a lifetime of loyalty and support for the cause that is Bradford City AFC - Lets hope this situation gets sorted an that all TRUE supporters

Anyone with a genuine interest in the 2012-13 campaign would have realised that a flexi-card (priced at £50.00) would only have needed to attend five games in order to recoup their outlay.
Fot those who bought at £25.00, attendance at three games would have even represented a saving.
For me, those who are complaining need to look at the incentives offered by Mark Lawn and Julian Rhodes to attract you to Valley Parade. I wonder if your "lifetime of loyalty and support" is all that you make it out to be. Either that or you have been willing to pay £20.00 to attend on a match-by-match basis.
You pay your money (or not in this case) and take your choice.
