The chances of the West Riding County Amateur League’s clubs dominating the West Riding County FA finals at the end of this season have been reduced.

Ovenden West Riding were beaten 3-2 at home by East Lancashire League side Rimington, and Marsden went down 6-4 after extra time against West Yorkshire League Premier side Brighouse Old Boys.

Bay Athletic had to come from being 1-0 down at the interval to a Ryan Canning goal for Fields to draw level through Kieran Ryan, and then go on to progress with a 5-4 victory in the penalty shoot-out after extra time had provided no more scoring.

Campion Reserves will meet Oxenhope Recreation Reserves next Saturday in the West Riding County FA Challenge Trophy after Oxenhope beat Silsden Whitestar 4-1 at the sixth attempt.
