Bradford Dragons will go into this weekend’s double header ready for the challenge as they face Bristol Academy Flyers tomorrow and Hemel Storm on Saturday.

Tomorrow's VCARS.CO.UK Division One clash at home to third-placed Bristol is a chance for fifth-placed Dragons to gain revenge as they lost 86-55 in the National Trophy.

Bradford head coach Chris Mellor said: “Bristol have been one of the stand-out teams over the last few years, picking up numerous pieces of silverware on the way. Coach Kapoulas and his staff develop young players both mentally and physically as well as anyone in the country, in my opinion.”

Dragons will need to recover quickly as less than 24 hours later they face Hemel Storm in their National Trophy Quarter Final. Dragons recently met with the Storm in the league and came out 79-61 losers. Mellor said: “We must be absolutely tuned in on our defensive assignments and execute much better with our half court offense.”

Elsewhere for Bradford, Dragons II will have a double header weekend of their own. Travelling to Hull to face the Wasps on Saturday followed by a trip to Stockport for match up with Falcons II on Sunday.

As for the Dragons junior teams, the Under 18 Men are taking on the York Eagles at Bradford College with the game tipping off at 4:15pm. The Under 16 Boys will travel to Bury to go against the Blue Devils and the Under 14 Boys will head South to take on the Sheffield Saints.
