Civic reception idea for club?
9:00am Tuesday 8th January 2013 in Sport
By Dolores Cowburn, Bradford Chief Reporter
Councillor David Green
The leader of Bradford Council says a civic reception could be held to recognise the Bantams’ Capital One Cup heroics as he reacted to claims by the club’s co-chairman that the authority had met its victory against Arsenal with “apathy”.
Bradford City boss Mark Lawn has said he had been disappointed with the Council’s “lack of reaction” since it booked a place in the competition’s semi-final.
But Council leader David Green said: “The Council has acknowledged the tremendous feat of Bradford City getting through to the semi-finals of the cup.”
He said he had congratulated the team and hoped there would be a “full recognition of their exploits” through a civic reception.

The Council gave a Civic Reception --When City achieved promotion at Wembley. --Thanks !

When I assess the cost of "The Water Feature"--by The Cop Shop. Around £ 25 Million could have been better utilised. Perhaps - Bradford Council could have bought back Valley Parade, for the people of Bradford--and its Sports Football Supporters??.
Therefore, taking full responsibility for VP's continued maintenance. --PRIDE is in short supply at Bradford. Maintaining traditional and historic features, of what was once a Great City--must now become a priority. Unfortunately-BCFC can not afford to buy this historic Club.

Could the Council bring back Pride in Bradford The City as a whole?.

But a civic reception!!. They have won a few matches - thats their business to do so. It doesn't deserve a civic reception.
Now maybe when we win the final at Wembley.............
