Bradford City v Aston Villa: Nathan Doyle primed for final push

Nathan Doyle has urged City to treat the Aston Villa games as “two cup finals.”

Phil Parkinson sat the team down to watch a re-run of the quarter-final and remind them what will be needed again.

Midfielder Doyle said: “The quality that Arsenal brought was up there with the best in the world. It was good to cast our minds back.

“It’s called the Premier League for a reason and whether you are playing anyone at the top or bottom, they are great teams.

“We know what we have to do and hopefully we can still be in it for the second leg and take something to Villa Park. I know we’re in the semis now but we’ve got to make these two games cup finals.”

Doyle has been to Wembley before with Hull when he sat on the bench as Dean Windass fired them into the top flight in 2008.

He added: “It was a magnificent experience when the final whistle blew. Those memories are few and far between and you have to make the most of them.

“This cup run has been a great experience for the club but you can never be too greedy in football. If it happens again, then you grab the chance with both hands and embrace it.”
