City have finally released ticket details for the Arsenal cup clash as they brace themselves for Valley Parade’s biggest crowd since the Premier League days.

Season-ticket and flexi-card holders will be given priority in the clamour to book seats for the Capital One Cup quarter-final on December 11.

The club are likely to reopen areas of the ground that have been shut in recent years, including the north-west corner next to the Kop.

This means the attendance could approach the 25,136 capacity for the first time since the ambitious stadium redevelopment plans were finished more than a decade ago.

Allowing for some seats that are beyond repair, City could still house around 24,000 fans on the night. Arsenal have taken up an initial allocation of 3,000 with the option of more if needed.

City plan a three-phase sales system, with the first choice going to those with season tickets or flexi-cards. They will have the option to buy up to two tickets at a special price of £20 each for adults, £15 concessions (full-time students and over-60s) and £10 for under-16s.

Tickets will be available solely to them at first and initially online only to avoid congestion at the ground. Nearer the deadline, they can buy from the ticket office but not on home match days outside office hours.

The second stage will involve a voucher promotion from the Plymouth and Exeter home games.

Fans paying the full match-day price for either or both will receive a voucher per each game. So watching both could entitle them to two tickets, providing there are some left.

Any remaining general sale tickets will cost £25 adults, £20 concessions and £15 for juniors.
