Farsley look to regain momentum
5:00pm Thursday 1st November 2012 in Sport By Ian Whiting
Ben Jones, right, is among several experienced players injured for Farsley
Farsley will hope to get back to winning ways at Bamber Bridge on Saturday after losing ground in the Evo-Stik Division One North promotion race.
Neil Parsley’s men held on to fourth place despite a 0-0 draw at Clitheroe last weekend and a 4-3 midweek defeat at home to Trafford.
Farsley may not have lost their position but they are now three points off runners-up spot and have played more games than all of the top clubs.
And injuries are not helping their cause, with a number of experienced players currently sidelined.
Parsley said: “Injury-wise we are still without Sim (Bambrook) and Jacko (Mark Jackson).
“They are making progress but are still a way off making a comeback.
“Ben Jones has not played for a while and is awaiting an operation on his knee.
“They are all big players for us, so we have a lot of experience missing.
“It’s part and parcel of the game though, so you have to get on with it.”
