Bradford Bulls fans' crisis group changes name
10:00am Tuesday 30th October 2012 in Sport
Bradford Bulls fans who organised a series of crisis meetings as the club’s former company entered administration have set up their own supporters’ group.
The Bradford Bulls Crisis Group, which hosted heated forums at Bradford’s Guide Post Hotel and Bradford City Hall during the Super League side’s financial troubles, has now been renamed the Bradford Bulls Future Horizons and will work with the club’s new owners, Bradford restaurant boss Omar Khan and former sports minister Gerry Sutcliffe.
A meeting will be held next week with Bulls’ supporters trust Bullbuilder to discuss how the two organisations will work together.
Tony Tudor (pictured right), of Bradford Bulls Future Horizons, said its aims were to provide a communication channel between the club and Bulls’ fans, organise events and raise the profile of the club, raise cash for the club and set up a database of Bulls fans with skills that can be used.
He added: “There will be no membership fees so all Bulls fans have access to the group and can have an input into it as to how it should be run and what sort of activities they would like to see.
“Ideas and comments can be sent by email to bullsfuturehorizons@gmail.com, especially about how to use the ground and its facilities, like the Coral Stand, more throughout the year.
