Hall's well for Brighouse Town again

Brighouse Town consolidated fourth spot in the Baris Northern Counties East League Premier Division with a 3-1 win at Hall Road Rangers.

It was Town’s second victory at Hall Road this month, having put Rangers out of the FA Vase with a 5-2 win a fortnight earlier.

This league clash was just as competitive as the cup tie had been but once again Town fought for the victory.

Tom Matthews gave them an early lead, netting in the seventh minute, and he doubled their advantage from the penalty spot midway through the first half. The arrears were cut a minute after the interval when Rangers got a spot-kick of their own, Johnny Slater converting, but Matthews restored Town’s two-goal cushion and bagged himself a hat-trick.
