Leeds United defender Jason Pearce out to turn one into three
Stand-in Leeds skipper Jason Pearce has called on the Elland Road side to start turning draws into victories.
United are unbeaten in their last six Championship matches but have drawn three out of their last four, including Tuesday night’s 1-1 stalemate at home to Charlton.
Ahead of tomorrow’s visit of Birmingham, he said: “Everyone can beat everyone in this league and it goes to show how tight it is. A couple of teams might pull away but it’s all about consistency.
“We’re unbeaten in six league games but we probably need to turn some of those draws into wins.”
Pearce, who took the armband in the absence of Lee Peltier on Tuesday, is under no illusions about the tough task that Birmingham pose.
The defender said: “Birmingham are a quality side. Marlon King got a hat-trick in midweek (when his side came from behind to draw 3-3 with Millwall) and he’s a tough player to play against. Nathan Redmond is another one but you want to pit yourself against teams like this.”
